Although most factory finishes are un-affected by the solutions used for chrome removal, activation, and gold plating, some types of finishes require protection. This antenna base on a Honda product is a perfect example. It is made of a material that may be slightly discolored by the chrome stripping solution. Masking is a simple procedure using the 3M Super 88 tape we recommend and supply with our plating systems. |
