Silver and copper brush plated directly onto steel pipe |
An oil well service company needed a way to
electroplate a "marker strip" onto drill pipe steel, in the
field. The marker strips were detected by a "down-hole"
electronic sensor that measured a change in the electromagnetic properties
of the surface of the drill pipe. We worked with their engineers
to establish that a 999 silver, electroplated directly onto the prepared
surface provided the best results.
