Type 302 Stainless Steel Tubes

These 1/2 inch diameter tubes are about 12 inches long. We plated several hundred of these tubes to be used in an undisclosed R&D project that is related to a new source of electrical energy. They were polished to an optical specification that required laser verification of the quality of the finish. After careful cleaning, electro cleaning and pretreatment with a Woods nickel strike, we applied a bright nickel plate followed by 20 micro inches of Type I, Grade C 24K gold. |
