Stainless Steel Oxygen Sensor Cathodes

Each sheet, (12 inches X 18 inches), of these Oxygen Sensor cathodes contains around 1,000 of these thin (3 mil) cathodes.  The sheet is 316 grade stainless steel.  Each cathode is shaped a little like a tennis racket, about 1/2 inch in diameter.  The round part is perforated with hundreds of very tiny holes.  The parts were fabricated utilizing a photo-resist etching process.  Each sensor cathode is attached to the sheet with a tiny tab of material.  When we have completed the plating, we return the entire sheet and each sensor cathode is removed.  The plating had to be done with a very pure gold alloy following an aggressive acid gold strike.
